Head of Loan Syndication & Sales

We are currently on the lookout for a team Head of the recently formed Loan Syndicate & Sales (LSS) team, which was established on the back of the re-org within the Debt IB UK organisation. This placement can be either in Stockholm or London.

About the job

The LSS team focuses on the primary and secondary syndication and distribution of Leveraged, Infrastructure and Corporate Loans. The team is a key part of SEB’s originate to distribute strategy with responsibility for structuring, pricing, and selling best effort and underwritten transactions.

As Head of the team your area of responsibility from a Syndicate perspective will be to participate in all aspects of the team’s underwriting, distribution and advisory activities. Additionally, you would be expected to drive the syndication process including engaging with the investor community on live transactions, co-ordinating with syndicate banks and updating issuers.

The role also envisages engaging in the loan distribution part of the value chain, including taking responsibility for an allocated investor base and developing the team’s distribution footprint in relevant areas. Main investor groups being UK-based, Nordic, German and broader International institutional investors, banks, as well as private credit providers.

As a manager you will lead an ambitious and high-performing team of individuals across geographies, where you are expected to coach, engage and develop the group, whilst promoting an inclusive and interactive work culture.

Who are we looking for

We are looking for an individual with minimum ten years relevant work experience, ideally from Loan and Bond syndication or origination, and with a good understanding of capital markets and the primary syndication process. Any structuring and pricing skills and good knowledge of the distribution part of the value chain and secondary market dynamics will be highly beneficial. Moreover, you will have a proven track record of successfully leading a team, where a people-oriented and engaging approach to building sustainable teams is highly desired.

The job is highly team-oriented and in order to be successful you need to be a strong team player who operates effectively in a large organisation; comfortable in a multi-cultural international environment, and with strong communication skills.

You will need to be able to prioritise and deal with multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and enjoy responsibility as you lead the strategic direction of the business as a whole.
