AECOM is seeking a motivated, technically-experienced team leader to serve as Senior Electrical Engineer in Denver, CO. The ideal candidate will have a passion for leading technically proficient teams, designing custom solutions, mentoring mid-level and junior staff, and developing calculations, drawings, reports, and specifications for the electrical design work on exciting and complex projects.

AECOM’s Buildings + Places practice includes architecture, interiors, building engineering, workplace strategy, business transformation, asset advisory, economics and development planning, master planning, urban planning, and landscape architecture in a dynamic, interactive, and creative work environment.

This individual should be capable of leading and developing teams to complete both small and large projects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external clients is required. Candidate must be well organized, be able to demonstrate critical thinking and can quickly recognize issues and be part of the solution.

As Senior Electrical Engineer , you will be expected to:

  • Be self-motivated with strong work ethic and take pride in your work
  • Complete Electrical power and lighting designs for projects of all sizes
  • Make major design recommendations and design decisions with little input from senior staff
  • Plan design work, calculates costs, and time schedules to assign design duties to junior staff working on projects

Requirements

Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering or related field plus six (6) years of related design experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Professional Engineer license
  • Due to the nature of this work, US Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience scoping and drafting fees for engineering components of interdisciplinary project work
  • Experience in strategic management of an engineering group
  • Experience forecasting business plans for an engineering group
  • Able to use advanced techniques in the modification or extension of theories and practices of sciences and disciplines to complete assignments
  • Experienced in Electrical Power Calculation Software
  • Experienced in application of National Electrical Code
  • Working knowledge of NFPA, ISA, IEEE Regulatory Codes
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft programs and BIM software (primarily Revit and AutoCAD)
  • Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
  • Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise
