POSITION: Sr. Software Engineer

JOB DUTIES: Design, develop, modify, and evaluate programs for internal functional areas, such as business operations, finance, human resources, marketing, and governance. Analyze existing programs and formulate logic for new systems, and devise logic procedures, prepare design documents, and perform development coding, test plans, and test/debug programs. Develop system or data conversion and system implementation plans, and prepare and obtain approval of system and programming documentation. Recommend changes in development, maintenance, and system standards, and will train users in conversion and implementation of systems and provide end user support. Conduct interviews and/or working sessions to define requirements and determine current state and future state processes. Research and evaluate potential internal and/or external software solutions. 100% telecommuting allowed from anywhere in the U.S.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field of study and seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

Applicants must have demonstrated experience in the following:

• Full-stack software engineering including Java, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, SOAP Web services, RESTFul Web services, and Hibernate;
• Design and build web components using AJAX, Java Script, jQuery, JSON, HTML, JSP and CSS;
• Design and develop Web Service APIs using SOAP and RESTFul implementation;
• Relational Databases experience in Oracle and SQL;
• Implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins;
• End-to-end application development using waterfall and agile methodologies;
• Unit testing, test driven development, and other forms of automated testing; and
• Tools including Eclipse, Toad, SOAP UI, Postman, Putty and WinSCP.

OFFERED WAGE: $139,464 - $198,500/year
