The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Engagement Director will be responsible for delivering results aligned with our Board-approved DEI strategy and overall program framework by leading and directing our employee and community engagement efforts. Your Impact:

This role is people leader and engagement subject matter expert with demonstrated experience in DEI whose responsibilities include the following:

  • Lead, coach and actively develop a team of engagement and outreach professionals.
  • Provide governance and leadership of our Business Resource Group (BRG) program ensuring program meets business goals and objectives.
  • Provide governance and leadership of our enterprise-wide community volunteerism program ensuring program meets business goals and objectives.
  • Leverage best practices and trends to evolve programs and support our DEI strategy.
  • Provide complete, timely and accurate program deliverables to key team members including senior management, the Board of Directors and our regulator, FHFA.
  • Develop, modify and execute division and company policies and/or procedures that affect operations.
  • Establish and adhere to budgets, schedules, work plans and performance requirements.

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of related experience and 4+ years management experience
  • College degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and leading enterprise-wide DEI programs
  • Demonstrated experience building relationships with key partners and influencing senior leadership across multiple organizations
  • Proven experience supporting employee networks or diversity councils
  • Demonstrated experience supporting community engagement or social impact initiatives
  • Ability to demonstrate strategic thinking and operational execution
  • Proven critical thinking and execution skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Solid program management skills, including ability to manage multiple complex programs in parallel
  • Ability to demonstrate awareness and understanding of multiple facets of different diversity dimensions and other differences that make us unique

Freddie Mac offers a comprehensive total rewards package to include competitive compensation and market-leading benefit programs. Information on these benefit programs is available on our Careers site.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $162,000 - $242,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
