The Senior Director of data automation and integrations is a crucial leadership role within our Clinical Research Organization. This role focuses on facilitating data flow across the Enterprise through seamless integrations, in turn enabling insight generation and informed decision-making. Additionally, the Director of Integrations oversees the establishment of the vision, strategy, and end-to-end delivery of all integration platforms for the enterprise. This role also leads the team designing and building reusable products built on the integration platforms.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Single point of Accountability for data integration at Fortrea
  • Establish and implement an enterprise strategy for data integration at Fortrea
  • Partner closely with the business to understand their data integration needs and translate business requirements into integration requirements.
  • Manage and prioritize enterprise demand for integration services.
  • Oversee the team of platform managers in establishing the vision, strategy, and managing end-to-end delivery of in-scope integration platforms.
  • Orientates technology components into products, and elevates team to a product management way of working including relentless customer focus, agile delivery with value in quarterly increments, and fit-for-purpose technology solutions that delight.
  • Manage the team of architects and engineers designing and building reusable products built on integration platforms.
  • Partner with platform teams across IT to seamlessly integrate data as needed for platform solutions.
  • Oversee the ETL engineering processes and pipelines, optimizing data extraction, transformation, and loading for data used by platform teams.
  • Oversee the design, development, and support of APIs.
  • Drive improved performance of data integration pipelines.
  • Coordinates external engagement and external innovation; ensure market trends are integrated into roadmap and communicated to business.
  • Responsible for delivering development and validation artefacts, ensuring high quality standards, and audit readiness.
  • Perform all other duties as needed or assigned.

Qualifications (Minimum Required):

  • In-depth knowledge of integration best practices and digital product management.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of integration architecture and engineering best practices.
  • Excellent project management and team coordination skills.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with database systems and integration platforms. (e.g., Mulesoft, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of APIs and ETL processes.

Experience (Minimum Required):

  • Extensive experience in data integration, integration platform management, or a similar leadership role.
  • Experience in developing and launching data-centric digital products.

Preferred Qualifications Include:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications in Data Engineering or Data Management (e.g., AWS Certified Big Data).
  • Strong understanding of advanced data techniques, including data modeling and data mining.
  • Experience in a Clinical Research Organization or healthcare-related industry.
  • Ability to foster a collaborative and innovative developer culture.

Pay Range:$135k-$195,000 (The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity)

Regular, full-time or part-time employees working 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(K), ESPP, Paid time off (PTO) or Flexible time off (FTO), and Company bonus where applicable.
