About the Role

We are currently looking for a highly qualified Quality Control & Testing Engineer to join our rapidly expanding Capabilities Team. The ideal candidate should possess a profound understanding of systems architecture and design. Key responsibilities for this role entail spearheading the quality assurance process within our company, enhancing our existing deployment pipelines, and conducting comprehensive end-to-end testing of applications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of company’s QA test program, including requirements analysis, test plans, and reporting
  • Analyzing detailed business requirement documents (designing test plans, including identifying all necessary modules, designing, and documenting test scenarios and test cases)
  • Managing the testing team and all QA reporting, including C-suite progress reports and timelines
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases to identify potential software issues and ensure product quality.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of bugs, errors, and defects identified during testing phases, utilizing debugging tools and techniques to isolate root causes.
  • Document test results and findings in clear and concise reports for the software development team, including detailed steps to reproduce issues and suggested resolutions.
  • Prepare high-quality reports and presentations for stakeholders, highlighting key findings, testing progress, and recommendations for improvements.
  • Collaborate closely with the development team to enhance current testing pipelines, automate test cases, and integrate testing processes seamlessly into the software development lifecycle.
  • Research and analyze similar competitor products to identify industry best practices, benchmark performance, and ensure our product remains competitive in the market.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and emerging technologies in quality assurance and software testing, continuously enhancing knowledge and skills to drive innovation and excellence.

Requirements

Must Have

Please note that this job is only hiring candidates that live in the Metro NYC area and can commute to the office 3 days during the week.

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in software development, with a strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in developing web applications, utilizing various libraries, languages, and frameworks commonly used in web development.
  • Proficiency in Selenium and relevant knowledge for automation testing.
  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency in JavaScript, Python, and SQL, with the ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy in all aspects of software development and testing.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of identifying issues, diagnosing root causes, and implementing effective solutions.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work efficiently and effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision, managing time and tasks effectively to meet project deadlines.
  • Comfortable with prolonged periods of computer use, able to maintain focus and productivity during extended work sessions.
