As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be part of a team of highly skilled web, infrastructure and data engineers who are proud to partner with some of the world’s leading retailers on challenging, cutting-edge, data-driven solutions, powered by technology, and people. While your core skill will be back-end and/or front-end development, you will be expected to contribute to all areas of the product by developing your skills in other technologies.
Responsibilities
- Develop web solutions for industry-leading interactive retail analytics, with opportunities for leadership on some projects
- Participate and begin to lead in defining backlog and requirements clarification for various technology projects
- Help us to research and take advantage of new technology to improve and expand solutions
- Leverage your previous experience to develop moderately to highly complex software solutions in support of business requirements and in accordance with predetermined software solution design standards
- Be a confident participant in an agile environment on design, development, testing and implementation of web solution components and modules
- Participate in peer code reviews
- Integrate code into modern, automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
Requirements
- Minimum B.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
- At least 6 years of experience as a software developer
- Extensive experience developing web applications using React and TypeScript.
- Experience developing web applications using Java and Spring Framework.
- Experience creating and integrating Restful APIs.
- Understanding of microservices and micro-frontend architecture.
- Some experience with frontend design and solution architecture
- Knowledge of SQL / Databases
- Experience in unit testing (unit and components)
- Experience using visualization libraries such as Highcharts, D3.js, etc...
- Beneficial to have experience with JOOQ
- Experience with Storybook
- Be highly detail oriented and have strong business & product understanding.
- Self-motivated and able to define, plan and implement goals, tasks, and projects.
