How you'll make an impact

Reporting to the Head of Reward, this role is instrumental for the strategic development and administration of share plans across Checkout. This includes:

  • Helping to drive the strategic direction of our share plans in alignment with business strategy and roadmap, and continuing to scale our plans so that they’re aligned with our short and longer term objectives.
  • Supporting senior leadership and the board on equity compensation matters.
  • Overseeing the day-to-day administration of our equity plans, ensuring accurate records and reporting.
  • Ensuring compliance with all legal, tax, and regulatory requirements in each country where the company operates.
  • Building and fostering strong relationships with other internal stakeholders (including Legal, Finance, and Tax teams).
  • Managing the relationship with our share plan management software providers and other vendors (e.g. our EBT).
  • Ensuring delivery on all administrative/operation objectives around equity. Owning processes impacting share plans and identifying policies and procedures that help improve these.
  • Designing and building reporting metrics and tools to inform data driven business decisions.
  • Developing and executing communication strategies to raise awareness and educate our global employee population on equity.

Requirements

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of [10] years experience in equity reward, ideally some of which in a fast paced environment, within the Tech, banking or fintech industry.
  • Previous experience managing share plans end to end within a multinational organisation; including leading set up of schemes in existing and new locations and determining design and structure of plans.
  • In depth knowledge of equity compensation, including tax, legal, regulatory and accounting aspects.
  • Previous experience in both a private and listed environment desirable.
  • Confident liaising with senior management and influencing decisions.
  • Comfortable doing hands-on operational cyclical work as well as strategic share related project work.
  • Strong work ethics with the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Strong organisational and ownership skills and proven ability to work independently.
  • Strong analytical skills and high proficiency in Excel/ Google Sheets to be able to build models and reports to analyse large volumes of data.
  • Laser-focused, with excellent attention to detail, previous experience with Workday is desirable
  • Experience and involvement in an IPO is advantageous.
