We are looking for someone to join and lead our Professional Services (PS) team. This role would be working closely with the Country Manager as part of the Senior Management Team (SMT). You will be a key influencer within the company whose opinion is respected with the authority to guide the technical direction and skills development of the company.

Our PS team are made up of 50+ consultants, support engineers and project managers. The coaching of the PS team is as important as the technical leadership. You will be responsible for guiding them with the right amount of technical direction, so they can all learn and grow. And in doing so, you’ll be accountable for making sure our customers get the best experience possible from all our professional service interactions.

The PS team work with all the business too, like development, product, marketing, to make sure we do the best possible work for our customers. Together we deliver powerful enterprise systems across the UK and Ireland for major public and private sectors, which are firmly rooted in the geospatial field.

This is why you’ll work with all departments, to maintain the teams’ 1Spatial identity, and make sure our PS people know what to build, how to do it, how to innovate and learn, and have a lot of fun along the way. You’ll have many opportunities to develop your own career in this role, given the diverse nature and way that 1Spatial work as 1Team.

Requirements

Required Skills and Experience:

• Knowledge of spatial technologies, especially the ArcGIS platform.
• Pragmatic approach to problem solving, with strong customer facing and communication skills, strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Strong experience leading professional services/consultancy, project delivery or product development teams within a software solutions company.
• Strong experience in line management of large teams.
• Background and training in project management for technical delivery projects including enterprise architecture, software deployment and consultancy.
• Experience in continuous integration and delivery practices.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Experience of data management environments such as relational databases.
• Understanding of geospatial data and applications, such as GIS or asset management.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Experience in deploying to cloud provider infrastructure, including devOps automation and CI/CD.
• Experience in following best practices for data privacy and data security.
• Knowledge of some of the following software technologies – JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, Proxies, VB.NET, Oracle, SQL server, Postgres/PostGIS and ArcGIS Security.
• Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Server, IIS, Geocortex products (Geocortex Essentials, Geocortex Analytics, Geocortex Workflow, Geocortex Reporting) and FME.
