Software Tester

What you’ll be responsible for

• Consulting to enterprise clients and providing QA and Testing advise to client Product Managers and review estimates of testing activities on each project.
• Planning tasks including test case design and execution, regression testing, identifying high risk areas and providing the best test strategies tailored to the needs of the client.
• Assisting designers to fully capture user journeys and create both stunning and user-friendly software. Conducting reviews with designers and other departments, giving expert advice on UX and UI based on their strong user focus.
• Working with the development teams to ensure functionality meets requirements.
• Test planning and strategy.
• Test execution and daily “hands-on” structured and exploratory testing to validate the functionality and overall quality of work provided by the development team.
• Producing documentation; test planning and strategy documents as well as detailed test reports, outlining the steps taken for peer review and identifying any issues found.
• Owning the bug tracking system for each project.
• Designing non-functional testing solutions for clients, such as: performing accessibility, performance, stress, compatibility, and security testing.
• Project status reporting; including end of sprint progress in testing activities, general project health, regression results, bug reports, new test cases.

What you will bring to the role

• Exceptional Communication and active listening skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to communicate complex ideas, goals and problems in a way that is accessible to a variety of audiences (e.g., internal team vs. clients).
• Strong Mentorship experience: providing regular, direct and impactful feedback to fellow QA Testers, particularly junior and intermediate level peers.
• 10+ years of enterprise IT consulting experience with a focus on QA and Testing.
• Strong consulting experience leading technical discussions in project meetings and presenting (and documenting) work.
• Negotiation, influencing and conflict resolution skills and ability to support international client groups through change.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Hands on experience completing manual and automation testing of web, mobile and backend systems.
• Experience with creation, ownership and review of Test Plan documentation and reports.
• Experience in test case design and execution, including regression testing strategy.
• Experience completing non-functional testing such as: performing accessibility, performance, stress, compatibility and security testing.
• Offering input on new UX and UI designs.
• Experience in an Object Oriented Programming Language (JavaScript, C#, .NET, Java, Python).
• Experience testing mobile (iOS and Android) and web applications (including testing API’s with Postman.
• Exposure to test automation technologies using Cypress and JavaScript as well as debugging tools such as Proxyman.
• Strong problem solving and critical analysis skills.
