Digital Modeler

As the Digital Modeler, you will be responsible for:

• Transform 2D sketches or 3D scanned data into precise 3D digital shape models.
• Collaborate with the design team to develop and visualize ideas during the early design phases.
• Enhance digital shape models to ensure feasibility and maturity across project phases.
• Develop digital models to facilitate decision-making processes.
• Work closely with responsible designers to meet project requirements.
• Implement appropriate working methods and select materials to align with project needs.
• Act as the representative for Product Design in interactions with external suppliers.
• Ensure the CAD modeling structure and physical builds are secure for modeling purposes.
• Support project managers by creating and ensuring detailed plans are communicated effectively within the project team.
• Coordinate effectively between Design Studio Engineers, Digital Modeler team, and Release Engineers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Digital Modeling or a related role.
• Expertise in transforming 2D sketches or 3D scanned data into high-quality 3D digital models.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, Siemens NX, Alias, Rhino).
• Strong understanding of aesthetic, dimensional, and technical constraints in digital modeling.
• Proven ability to lead complex tasks or projects within a team environment.
• Demonstrated influence and contribution within an organizational network.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate value creation beyond immediate responsibilities.
• Ability to mentor, coach, and train team members on digital modeling techniques and best practices.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000

The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
