Version 1 has new exciting opportunities to join a successful, growing team across UK and Ireland Private Sector.

We’re looking for people to join our sales team who want to showcase their abilities in customer management, contract management, opportunity management and sales support. This role will be part of a successful, growing team focused on selling Digital, Data, Cloud & Managed Services offerings across UK&I Private Sector.

Version 1 have been driving success for our customers for more than 25 years through the market-leading technology solutions we provide and through our people, the role will encompass the following elements:

  • High levels of customer satisfaction in line with company targets.
  • Account financial targets i.e., growing value of new and existing accounts.
  • Prepare and have ownership over Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR’s) for your customers, ensuring they are effective. You will drive completion of any arising actions from the QBR.
  • Prepare, present, and deliver Version 1 propositions to customers and be confident in your ability to do this virtually and in person.
  • Contribute to bid strategies to maximize winning opportunities. Being diligent of the pre-qualification process to ensure all customer sales opportunities and bids are fully qualified and viable.

Other responsibilities as an Account Manager include:

  • Sustaining a pipeline aligned to your customer horizon – Grasp their strategy on a rolling 24-month basis, setting out opportunities aligned to the strategy and how we can pro-actively help shape plans and be their go-to partner as a result.
  • Effective time management, you’ll be capable of effective prioritisation of tasks and personal time management, while recognising and flagging issues outside area of own expertise
  • Obtain customer and partner publicity including case studies, win wires, press releases.
  • Effectively collaborate with a variety of internal teams; Delivery, Partner Account Managers, Commercial Operations to ensure success with bid reciprocation, contracts, and prospects for our customers.
  • Travelling regularly to Version 1 and customer sites across the UK and Ireland to build, invest and create strong relationships.

Requirements

  • Can demonstrate their experience working in a sales team in an account management capacity or similar sales role.
  • Demonstrate a track record of successful delivery of growth on accounts.
  • Have experience in working in IT Services, IT Consultancy, Technology solutions or similar industry.
  • Can exhibit influencing and communication skills both written and verbal. You’ll be able to motivate people at multiple levels to deliver what you need on time and with high quality. You’ll be confident in your skills to complete tenders and internal documentation to a high standard using Microsoft Office suite.
