HOLOEYE Photonics is one of the leading suppliers of Spatial Light Modulators based on Liquid Crystal Microdisplays and of Diffractive Optical Elements for scientific and industrial applications. Our development, engineering, and technical sales teams are based in Berlin Adlershof. Our international team of 40 colleagues supports research institutions and industrial customers worldwide by offering static diffractive microoptics and adaptive spatial light modulators. Holoeye offers both standard off-the shelf components and customized solutions according to customer requirements.

Use Case: HOLOEYE’s Spatial Light Modulators (SLMs) are versatile devices used in various applications. They help to develop new holographic display systems, support optical switching architectures in telecommunication, enable new microscope and imaging technologies and even shape the light for laser material processing.

To strengthen our SLM product group we are looking for a:

Product-Line Manager | (SLM) Spatial Light Modulators (m/f/d)

Location: Berlin-Adlershof | Remote: 20% | Fulltime

Your Team: As the Product Line Manager for SLM, you will have the privilege of reporting directly to the CEO. Within Holoeye's dynamic ecosystem, your role as a group leader will be pivotal. Alongside other group leaders who oversee critical product divisions such as Electronics, Display, and Software Development. Your specific mandate will involve nurturing the growth and success of 5-6 distinct product categories within the SLM product line, ensuring they thrive under your strategic direction.

Tasks

• General: As a Product Line Manager (PLM) for Spatial Light Modulator (SLM) Products, you will play a critical role in managing the lifecycle of our SLM product line
• In addition to collaborating with other group leads, you will work closely with production, quality control, sales, and marketing
• Product Ownership: Lead the product development process from concept to launch for SLM products
• Gather and analyze input from electronics, SLM software, and microdisplay teams to inform product design and development
• Coordinate with production and metrology teams to ensure manufacturing and quality control standards are met
• Project Management: Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring milestones are met
• Facilitate communication between cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and collaboration
• Utilize project management tools (e.g., Atlassian products) to track progress
• Strategic Planning: Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with company goals
• Market Research: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities
• Develop business cases for new products and enhancements to existing products
• Customer Focus: Work closely with sales and marketing teams to understand customer needs and market demand
• Support the development of marketing materials and product documentation
• Engage with key customers and stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure product satisfaction

Requirements

• General: This role requires a combination of technical expertise and project management skills
• Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business engineering, photonics, optics, electric engineering, micro-system engineering or physics
• Product & Project Management: Proven experience in product management or related roles, Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g. Atlassian products), Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Industry: Preferably Experience in the photonics, electronics or optical industry
• Ideally Knowledge of electro-optical and photonic systems & familiarity with metrology and manufacturing processes
• Strategy: Understanding of market analysis and product positioning
• Technical Leadership & Mindset: Proven leadership and team management skills, intrinsic motivation and solution driven
• Collaboration & Working method: Excellent communication & ability to work with shared resources**,** Ability to work systematically, self-organized, but also team oriented and able to cope with changing demands
• Language: Proficiency in English language, German language skills highly welcome
