The Asset Management team is looking for a Technical 3D Asset Specialist to collaborate on working with art files from all Ubisoft projects, preparing them and formatting the content to the requirements of our new worldwide sharing platform

This is a great opportunity for you to discover various art software and develop your skill set on technical art topics. The main requirements are strong knowledge of PBR Tech Art pipelines, to be process oriented and to have a strong methodology. It’s also a great opportunity to learn constantly, develop new skills, and co-construct innovative technical solutions, as our team is in collaboration with many Tech Art specialists from different Ubisoft top productions.

Your main mission

  • Prepare and organize art assets as per the project requirements.
  • Maintain asset library of multiple file formats and assure assets are of the highest technical quality.
  • Prepare a structured pipeline based on individual projects.
  • Identify processes which can be automated.
  • Collaborate with multiple studios and teams on different asset repositories.
  • Sort raw data into categories and document them.
  • Identify roadblocks and find solutions to mitigate them for sharing and standardizing assets.
  • Extract in-game assets from game engines, categories them and share them.

Requirements

The professional value you bring

  • Proficiency in graphic design 3D
  • Basic knowledge of video game development, games engines and their user interface
  • Intermediate knowledge of 3ds Max, Substance Painter, Substance Designer, Photoshop
  • Knowledge of PBR Material, Texture, and Shader networks.
  • Familiar with Perforce or other repository maintenance tools

  • Strong technical skills and ability to write technical documentations.
  • Good understanding of video games and broad video game culture.

  • Knowledge of real-time modeling techniques.
  • Knowledge of Python, MAX Script, MEL Script.
  • Knowledge of a programming language (C++, C#, Python.)
  • Basic knowledge of Maya, Marvelous Designer, Reality Capture.
  • Basic knowledge of ZBrush, Speed Tree.
  • Basic knowledge of Blender.
