Account Executive, New Business

We are expanding our global footprint and are seeking an experienced Account Executive to spearhead the expansion of our market reach in northern Italy, based in the greater Milan area. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business with an ambitious vision and mission and investing in people, tech and products.

We are looking for an exceptional individual with strong experience of creating new business opportunities in the Italian market via the channel to join the Sales team here at Mimecast. Our Account Executive will work with a set of enterprises including our largest prospects and also 50% of the Named Accounts of Italy to help them become loyal customers.

It’s your job to deliver the professionalism, consultation, and innovation they expect. This segmentation will allow the development of a run rate business but also explore large opportunities within the biggest potentials. Beyond this, you’ll be incredibly creative in capitalizing on opportunities to drive revenue, adoption of new technologies, and market penetration in the enterprise space. Ultimately, you will also have a proven track record in generating and winning new business in IT sales, preferably Cyber Security.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Responsible for defining and executing a New Business Plan to create a predictable and sustainable Enterprise New Business territory leveraging our Channel, Marketing and internal Business Development Manager resources
  • Responsible for winning Net New Logo accounts for Mimecast in the Enterprise space
  • Bringing your knowledge and contacts within the Italian Cyber partners space
  • Identifying and implementing strategies to sell solutions into new accounts.
  • Achieving monthly / quarterly / annual new business targets
  • Working with the Distribution/Partner / Channel Development team to develop and execute against account plans
  • Developing and executing against sales activity plans in order to achieve the agreed targets
  • Working with Mimecast Field Marketing, Channel Marketing and Vertical Marketing functions to create compelling and impactful marketing campaigns into your territory
  • Building and maintaining relationships with new business prospects.
  • Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties, aid business, and develop organizationally
  • Attending trainings and developing relevant knowledge and skills; expectation of quarterly travel

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience and contacts within the Italian Cyber community
  • Strong IT or SaaS sales experience
  • Successful experience with new logo acquisition and customer management – meeting and exceeding quotas in fast-paced sales environment
  • Ability to take on a consultative style when presenting ideas and products
  • Strong foundational knowledge of the cybersecurity industry, technology stack, and technology and security processes and ecosystems
  • Experience selling through Channel partners,
  • Clear understanding of Information Security, Risk and Compliance, and corporate IT teams buying processes
  • Competency with customer relationship management platform Salesforce
  • Solid knowledge of any sales processes to include MEDDIC, Force Management, Challenger and Spin Sales Process
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Excellent communication (Written and Verbal),negotiation and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated, strong team player with a results-driven approach
  • Business fluent in Italian and English
  • College degree required or equivalent professional experience
