SRE Security Engineer

Information security is crucial in shaping our approach to cyber threats. To ensure we are addressing these threats in the most effective way, we are seeking a talented Infrastructure Engineer to join our Technology team.

Here’s what you’ll be doing as a SRE Security Engineer

• Implement, and maintain security controls for our cloud infrastructure, focusing on intrusion detection, encryption, and access control.
• Develop custom scripts and tools for automating security monitoring and incident response activities.
• Integrate advanced security testing tools into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring continuous security of the development and deployment processes.
• Perform detailed security assessments and vulnerability analysis of cloud infrastructure and applications (WIZ, AWS native tools).
• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures for cloud-based environments.
• Collaborate with development teams to embed security best practices into software development life cycles.
• Integrate and utilise cloud infrastructure tools functionality to derive meaningful security insights and conduct cybersecurity monitoring.
• Conduct forensic analysis and detailed investigations in response to security incidents.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to security configurations, procedures, and tools.
• Stay updated with the latest security threats, trends, and technologies, focusing on cloud infrastructure security.
• Lead technical security projects and initiatives, including the evaluation and implementation of new security technologies.
• Lead and foster a culture of security within the technology teams, act as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for security-related questions and consultancy.

You'll report to our Director of Engineering and have a dotted line to the VP of Security.

Here’s what we’d love from our new SRE Security Engineer

• Ability to identify and remediate security weaknesses in cloud-based systems
• Utilise cloud services native and security tools functionality to improve detection, response and recovery capabilities.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest cloud security trends and applying this knowledge to our cloud infrastructure
• Continuous development and improvement of security monitoring.
• Collaborate and communicate security concepts within technology department

And if you can also do this stuff, even better:

• Cloud based SIEM setup
• Information protection tools and techniques implementation (DLP)
• Forensics analysis

Monthly salary starting from 3600 € (gross) depending on the level of experience.
