DevOps Engineer

Who we're looking for

We're seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our growing team and play a crucial role in managing and enhancing our AWS infrastructure. If you are passionate about cloud technologies, and have experience with working on AWS environments using technologies such as Kubernetes, Linux and Terraform, we'd love to hear from you.

How you’ll make an impact

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and maintain AWS infrastructure supporting both web and mobile applications.
• Ensure the security and compliance of our AWS environment, implementing best practices and monitoring for potential vulnerabilities.
• Support and optimize Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability and scalability of containerized applications.
• Utilize Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) to automate deployment, scaling, and configuration management.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending improvements to enhance our infrastructure and DevOps processes.
• Help setup CI/CD pipelines to reliably deploy code to dev, staging and prod environments complete with testing.
• Doing RCA of production issues and providing resolution. Fine tune infra performance metrics and catch bottlenecks in the system. Probably work with lead engineers to build a visual representation of the whole system.
• Taking several measure to keep the cost of the infrastructure to the minimum
• Provide the training to the developers on DevOps tools and processes

What we’d love to see

• 3+ years of strong DevOps experience with the Linux & K8s environment.
• A graduation/post-graduation degree in Computer Science and related fields
• A strong interest in working with cutting edge cloud technologies
• A self-starter with strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Security-conscious mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
• Hands-on experience with at least one of languages - NodeJs, Python, etc
• Experience with version control systems like Git
• Strong experience of Amazon Web Services (EC2, RDS, VPC, S3, Route53, IAM etc.)
• Strong experience with managing the Production Systems day in and day out
• Experience in finding issues in different layers of architecture in production environment and fixing them
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, ElasticSearch, Solr etc.
• Knowledge of Networking, Firewalls, load balancers, Nginx, Apache etc.
• Experience in automation tools like Ansible/SaltStack and Jenkins
• Experience in Docker/Kubernetes platform (Mandatory)
• Experience with Hashicorp tools i.e. Vault, Vagrant, Terraform, Consul, VirtualBox etc. (desirable)
• Experience in Monitoring tools like Prometheus/Grafana/Elastic APM.
• The ideal candidate would also bring some experience as a BE engineer, ideally with Nodejs
