Junior Web Developer

Two Six Technologies is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Web Developer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about web development and eager to grow their skills in a collaborative and supportive environment. As a Junior Web Developer, you will work closely with our development team to create and maintain high-quality web applications and contribute to the success of our projects.

** This role will move from Herndon VA to Chantilly VA in 2025

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design and development of web applications and websites.
• Collaborate with senior developers to implement new features and functionalities.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
• Perform testing and debugging to ensure the quality and reliability of web applications.
• Participate in code reviews to provide and receive constructive feedback.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest web technologies and trends, and share knowledge with the team.
• Support the maintenance and optimization of existing web applications.
• Work closely with designers and other team members to ensure a seamless user experience.

Requirements:

• 2 plus years of experience
• Strong understanding of web development fundamentals, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with at least one web development framework or library such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Basic understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with server-side programming languages such as Node.js, Python, or PHP.
• Knowledge of database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Understanding of web accessibility standards and best practices.
• Familiarity with front-end build tools and preprocessors such as Webpack, Babel, or Sass.
• Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies such as Jest, Mocha, or Selenium.
• Participation in personal or open-source projects showcasing web development skills.
• Relevant internships or work experience in web development or related fields
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
