The salary range for this position is $70,000-87,500 USD annually.

Reporting to our Creative Director, we are looking for a Conceptual Creative (Art Director) to join our team and thrive as a conceptual creative. You will create campaign ideas as a fast social-first thinker. You are a conceptually minded creative who will ideate based on cultural trends in a 'newsroom' style 'brainstorm'. You're literate in social platforms for execution and are passionate about and literate in social.

Responsibilities:

  • Create fast out-of-the-box ideas, concepting everything from brand campaigns, to a content series, to a clever reactive post.
  • Stay up to date on all the visual trends in social (static and motion) and always ensure you stay at the forefront as they evolve and change.
  • Art direct your work to the point of being an accomplished visual do-er -,
  • Analyze a brief and spin insightful ideas daily, bringing your own creative insights.
  • Work between big campaign ideas and tactical projects.
  • Strategize and envision across a full suite of social content: static assets, short and longform video (Reels, TikTok and longer scripted pieces), GIPHY stickers, GIFs, memes.
  • Craft engaging content and optimizing campaigns for maximum reach and impact.
  • Build relationships with your creative leads (and clients) through excellent work.
  • Create and develop implementations that produce fame for clients
  • Create work that cuts through the clutter in culture and sets hearts and feeds on fire.
  • Be a team player by brainstorming and sparring with clients and hold your own in the best interest of the work and the goals of the brief.
  • Think on your feet and produce ideas on the spot and explain your ideas with conviction and mock up high-level visuals.
  • Review work with your Creative Director, Creative VP and ECD - and keeping them informed along the journey - taking their feedback onboard and actioning their direction across the team.

Requirements

  • Strong art direction experience creating world-class social-first work for a range of world-leading brands.
  • 5+ years of experience in an ad agency creative department - so you know how to produce ideas.
  • A background of creating organic social content that achieved high engagement.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator), Keynote, and Figma.
  • Experienced in social storytelling but know the importance of rooting the concept in a big idea.
  • A passion and interest in entertainment (TV and films) and creator culture in social media are musts.
  • Experience working on (winning) pitches and award-winning work.
  • You have some experience in production and the world of shoots, so can understand your role in production and post production - collaborate with a DP, editor, VFX, VO record, colorist.
  • A clear understanding of how creative work contributes to business success and the ability to align your creative solutions with client objectives (e.g., budget, performance, organic vs. paid, etc.).
  • Deft conceptual and design skills: you should be adept in creating storyboards and producing strong visual assets, with a keen eye for typography, layout, illustration, and imagery.
