What you’ll do:
- Responsible for the project development studies such as feasibility study, site selection, inputs for ESIA, technical due diligence, technology selection etc.
- Responsible for the mechanical design, preparation of specification, technical evaluation, engineering, construction, installation, testing and commissioning of the:
-
- Renewable energy power plant.
- Combined cycle power plants with gas turbine, heat recovery steam generators and steam turbines.
- Demineralized water system.
- Fuel gas system.
- Fuel oil system.
- Wastewater treatment system.
- Compressed air system
- Circulating water and closed cooling water system.
- Firefighting system.
- Mechanical/Electrical Building Services.
- Other ancillary system pertaining to power plant operation.
- Renewable energy power plant.

- Provide engineering expertise focal point for engineering issues associated with abovementioned system and equipment and power generation in general.
- Lead and participate in delivery of multiple consulting services projects serving power sector clients such as project developers, investors, financial institution and regulators.
- Coordinate engineering review and other issues with other disciplines.
- Develop project/consulting services proposals and supporting business development and marketing (internal & external) efforts.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with regulatory, legal, quality and company requirements.
- Assist Professional Engineer in liaison, preparation and follow up of Authority Submission.
- Work closely with clients/architects/structural engineers/quantity surveyors, etc.
- Work closely with project manager/project engineering manager in project delivery.
- Manage client relationship and expectations during the services delivery.
- Approve calculations, technical notes, requisitions, specifications, drawings and similar deliverables.
- Support all phases of project development from pre-feasibility to handover of plant.
- Work closely with junior engineers, provide necessary guidance, training and provide assistance on their technical / professional development at AECOM.
Requirements
Meet the requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Power or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
- Minimum 12 years of broad working experience with the majority of that experience related to power generation.
- The engineer’s experience shall preferably include both office-based and on-site experience with a mixture of design, construction and commissioning.
- Familiar with international standards on power generation projects.
- Familiar with conditions of contracts.
- Require minimal guidance on mechanical engineering.
- Preferably with experience in heat & mass balance and plant configuration software such as GTPRO.
