Tool & Equipment Engineer

The Tool & Equipment Engineer (T&E Engineer) in plastics injection is responsible for developing tools, equipment, and processes to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets, aligned with industrial strategy and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and monitor timing plans for tools and equipment to ensure timely transfers and start of production.
• Report progress and convergence of tool and process targets.
• Define tool, equipment, and process specifics, considering standard targets.
• Provide technical support during supplier selection and validate their offers.
• Lead grain mapping activities for visible grained parts.
• Ensure all materials and fixtures are in place for trials.
• Conduct trials, identify gaps, and set up convergence plans to achieve quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Coordinate between program, plant, and suppliers for product modifications.
• Oversee pre-acceptance of tools and equipment at the plant.
• Support production trials and ensure all targets are met.
• Monitor performance and support final acceptance of tools and equipment.
• Update program documentation and record lessons learned.
• Propose updates or creation of standards based on program experiences.
• Collaborate with Technology Engineering Domain & Experts to capitalize on development experience.

Requirements

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical diploma.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in tooling or automotive sector.
• Knowledge of project management, quality basics
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Able to work in a multicultural environment.
• Fluent in English
