The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a DevOps Cloud Engineer (m/f/*) for the Hosted Platform Services (HPS) team, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Deploy and Maintain Production Environments with Solventum HealthCare Technology Products in Multiple AWS Accounts and Regions
  • Develop, Support and Implement CI/CD Pipelines, Cloud Formation Scripts and Automation for Software Deployment, Testing, Monitoring and Workflow Management
  • Ensuring 100% Uptime for our Critical Patient Care related systems, participating in the on-call rotation and being available for emergency after hour escalations
  • Develop, Support and Enhance Front End Web Interfaces while working within a DevOps Team
  • Resolve incidents, generate reports, manage projects and ensure completion within expected targets.

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR High School Diploma/GED and profound experience in troubleshooting software in lieu of the bachelor’s degree education requirement
  • Profound Experience working with Amazon Web Services while utilizing various services like EC2, Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), S3 Bucket, Route53, CloudWatch, EBS, EFS, AMI, IAM, MFA, ELB, Lambda, Auto-scaling, Security Groups
  • Experience in troubleshooting APIs errors, web connectivity, database connections, stored procedures, and/or software code
  • Experience programming in one or more of the following technologies: Python, C#, C++, ASP, PHP, Visual Basic, VB Script, JavaScript, Node.js, XML, XSL, YAML, JSON
  • Profound experience with the Windows Server and/or Linux Server Operating Systems

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • One or more active Associate or Professional level AWS Certifications
  • Able to design and deploy Cloud Formation Templates and CI/CD pipelines
  • Production Experience with Docker, ECS, EKS/Kubernetes and Lambda
  • Experience developing front end code with React or Angular with REST APIs or similar
  • Experience utilizing and administering Splunk or ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)

Work location: Neuss/Berlin:

  • Remote: in Germany with a preferred location of Berlin or Neuss
