The Atlassian Cloud Administrator at nCino will be empowered to impact efforts to optimize our application suite, enhance our automation, and define or refine processes to aid in task tracking, providing situational awareness across our departments, and bolster the effectiveness of our teams. The primary scope of responsibility will be to build, scale, and administer our Atlassian ecosystem. This position will require conversations, strong analytical, and problem-solving skills.

This role will necessitate the ability to analyze problem sets, and work closely with numerous teams to recommend and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced environment. The candidate must not only be able to develop and drive initiatives, but also roll up their sleeves, dig in to understand many perspectives and experiences, and get the job done. This role is inherently cross-functional and a contributor across the organization to delivering our whole product vision.

Responsibilities

  • Provide user management, assist in the management of system access across groups to ensure compliance, and maintain best practices
  • Configuration, maintenance, and administration of Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management)
  • Promote adoption and best practices among the Atlassian user community
  • Manage the usage of Atlassian & add -ons to meet team and business needs
  • Work with development and design teams to identify procedural efficiencies
  • Devise, test, and deploy moderate scale integrations between Atlassian products and other internal tools
  • Conduct training for employees and new hires on JIRA and also briefing the team/s on new functionalities.
  • Research and aide in the implementation of new approaches on Jira and Confluence usage
  • Prompt issue resolution of moderate scale with JIRA Projects and Confluence in coordination with other admins and Atlassian premier support
  • Define requirements for new and existing projects, automation, and integrations
  • Implement JIRA workflows, field configurations, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes and manage proper implementation/rollout
  • Gather requirements for business processes and determine ways to optimize and improve JIRA/Confluence configurations
  • Create Jira based reports, dashboards and planning views of moderate complexity based on different user requirements and provide stakeholders with actionable project metrics and status reports
  • Create, manage and support on how to leverage Atlassian APIs for users to automate manual processes, implement business processes and extract data for reporting and analytics purposes
  • Provide user assistance/training with setting up/configuring filters, dashboards, project boards, etc.
  • Ensure good Jira & Confluence hygiene is maintained

Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, CS, MIS, or work experience equivalent
  • 2+ years working with the Atlassian product suite (Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management)
  • 2+ years administering the Atlassian product suite in a Cloud environment (Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management)
  • 2+ Years of experience with customization for tools like JIRA and Confluence, creating custom workflows, fields, screens, automations, and other project components in Jira
  • Problem-solving skills, process implementation skills
  • Interpersonal skills to communicate with stakeholders and software development personnel
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment
  • Ability to analyze, review, and document current functionality to determine potential areas of improvement
  • Time management skills including work planning, prioritization, and organization with an ability to multi -task
  • Knowledge of change management methodologies used to drive organizational change
  • Knowledge of SDLC and experience working with Agile teams leveraging concepts such as Kanban, Scrum, SAFe, etc.

Desired:

  • Server & Cloud Atlassian Administration experience

  • Experience with scripting/programming/automation

  • DOMO or other business intelligence platform experience

  • Experience creating JIRA plugins, scripts, or reports using the Atlassian REST APIs
