Senior Financial Consultant

As a Senior Financial Consultant (m/f/d) at SCAYLE Payments, you will be responsible for advising and guiding the Finance Team and senior management, particularly regarding the financial standards of RechZahlV and potential implications on IFRS as well as the evolution of safeguarding regulations according to ZAG within a BaFin-regulated legal entity. Additionally, you will play a key role in the strategic development of the finance function and provide analytical and business steering support to the broader Finance Performance Management Team at SCAYLE Payments.

Responsibilities

• Providing financial advisory services regarding RechZahlV and ZAG and their implications for SCAYLE Payments as a payment service licensed company
• Offering strategic finance consulting in areas such as the internationalization of our regulated business, preparation for regulatory changes (e.g., the upcoming PSD3), and identifying optimization potentials for our safeguarding mechanics
• Proactively implementing, maintaining, and updating regulatory relevant processes and documentations in collaboration with the responsible expert finance teams, including process flow charts, descriptions, and related policies
• Conducting independent analyses of the payment industry and deriving recommendations for action for senior management
• Strategically supporting the finance function with cross-functional projects and enhancing our business steering capabilities
• Managing stakeholders (internal and external), from operational level to top management

Requirements

• Successfully completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics or an equivalent field with a focus on accounting and/or finance
• 5+ years of experience in a fintech environment, at a bank, or with a leading management consultancy
• Familiarity with the regulatory requirements of a payment licensed company in Germany (e.g., ZAG, PSD2, and RechZahlV)
• Familiarity with setting up finance related process documentations, charts, and policies
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize appropriately
• Excellent analytical thinking and the ability to provide sound solutions based on data analysis
• Strong communication and assertiveness skills, with a customer-centric mindset.
• Hands-on mentality, high level of personal responsibility and initiative
