Product Business Analyst / Product Manager

The successful applicant will work as part of the Banking, Fund Financing and Treasury Product Management team, focusing on our Fund Financing LoB that has been established to provide a variety of financing solutions, including Fund of Hedge Fund (FoHF) bridge facilities and subscription lines of credit.

This position will be providing solutions to help automate and streamline core functions and automating much of the reporting requirements by the Fund Financing Operations team. You will also serve as a subject matter expert and partner to the development team, and ensure projects are delivered according to stakeholder expectations. Some key responsibilities include:

• Proactively support tactical and strategic Fund Financing initiatives, across a variety of operational and product disciplines
• Responsible for analyzing the business needs of Fund Financing and identifying solutions.
• Collaborate across stakeholder groups to generate and document business requirements for development and business implementation; ensuring they are well understood for the Fund Financing product.
• Have a strong understanding of the technology stack in the company. Contribute to the design and and help the team to design it in a way to fit the business needs.
• Produces, edits, and maintains requirements and user stories. Participate in backlog refinement, grooming and prioritization. Create detailed tickets for developers where needed.
• Involvement in testing and evaluating the effectiveness of their products.
• Takes the lead on defining details of the requirements and working through all the elements with the relevant stakeholders.
• Drive creation and maintenance of requirements across functional testing teams to ensure completeness of scope, identification of defects, follow through to resolution, and appropriate support as the Fund Financing product subject matter expert and ensure proper management of project deadlines.
• Escalation and expectation management of delays to deliverables and milestones, with prompt communication of emerging risks and challenges
• Creation and maintenance of user training manuals and supporting product documentation.
• Perform other product related duties as assigned by the Product Lead for Fund Financing

Requirements

• existing experience working as a Business Analyst would be ideal
• Working knowledge or direct experience in Fund Administration, Fund Financing, Business/IT Architecture, Programming skills or back-office settlements is strong plus
• Strong understanding of financial products.
• experience of using AWS, Excel and Power BI would be highly advantageous
• Familiarity with market standard practices and common systems / services (Bloomberg, Reuters, etc.) will be considered an advantage.
• Strong understanding of downstream processes for such products such as confirmation, settlement, collateral management and reconciliation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Good teamwork and collaboration skills.
