How you will make a difference

โ— Establish high quality standards in terms of technical knowledge, organization, and management in the team

โ— Contribute to the development of team members, providing support/advice and training them in time management and prioritization.

โ— Encourage and promote research and innovation of new opportunities within projects and processes to keep us competitive.

โ— Advance in improving code quality.

โ— Maintain a cohesive, motivated team with a professional vision.

โ— Participate in the selection processes for developers/team leads/architects.

โ— Coordinate with other project team leads and technical leads.

Team Management and Leadership

โ— Be the point of reference for backend developers.

โ— Plan 'One to One' personal meetings for proper follow-up.

โ— Plan, organize, and lead team meetings and ensure that actions are taken based on team discussions. Provide opportunities for collaboration and expression.

โ— Plan the team's global objectives.

โ— Manage team vacations and other absences.

Team Development

โ— Identify specific training needs for team members and manage them (internal, external, or cross-training with other teams).

โ— Establish individualized goals to work on individual career plans.

โ— Prepare the annual performance evaluation and conduct meetings with each team member.

โ— Identify team growth needs and plan for new additions.

โ— Support and organize the onboarding process for new hires according to company guidelines.

Technical/Business Knowledge

โ— Organization, prioritization, and task definition.

โ— Review of work and quality control.

โ— Coordination of tasks, priorities, and backlog to ensure project deadlines and expectations are met: from design to production deployment.

โ— Support and involvement in strategic project decisions and other departments: guide, align, and propose improvement actions.

โ— Assist in implementing processes and propose appropriate tools for each task.

โ— Provide guidance to the development department on code improvements and quality.

โ— Code pieces programming and technical task resolution.

Requirements

What will make you stand out from the crowd

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Valuable previous experience managing development teams
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous experience in mentoring, coaching and/or leading a development team.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
  • Have more than 5 years of experience as a Frontend developer
  • Experience working on developing modern and intuitive interfaces
  • Ensuring code quality and application optimization.
  • Review and provide feedback on code.
  • Advanced skills in JavaScript, the primary language used in front-end development.
  • Know how to design and develop web applications with Javascript, Typescript and React.
  • Familiarity and experience with automated testing platforms and unit tests.
  • Have experience working in agile and dynamic environments
  • Knowledge of semantic HTML and applied to SEO optimization
  • Experience with BEM, SASS and/or Styled Components methodology

Desirable qualifications

  • Knowledge of build tools and automation ( Webpack, Babel, RollUp).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWSโ€ฆ).
  • Familiarity with CMS or Headless CMS (Strapi, WPโ€ฆ)
