We are seeking a candidate to join our Oslo office. Our work model embraces a hybrid approach, offering employees the flexibility to work both onsite and from home.

About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Payments Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day processing of financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity of our payment systems and providing excellent service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle and process various types of payments, including bank transfers, and electronic payments, ensuring all transactions are completed accurately and timely.
• Regularly reconcile incoming and outgoing payments with bank statements and internal records to ensure all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are promptly addressed.
• Assist customers or clients with payment-related issues, such as failed transactions, refunds, and chargebacks, providing high-quality customer service to resolve payment inquiries.
• Manage and maintain payment processing systems and software, working with IT and software development teams to implement system updates, troubleshoot issues, and improve payment processing efficiency.
• Generate reports on payment activities, analyze transaction data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement, and present findings to management.
• Work closely with other departments such as customer service and operations to ensure smooth payment operations and address any payment issues.
• Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities for process optimisation and automation to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Train staff on payment processes and procedures, and maintain comprehensive documentation of payment operations and policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
• 0-3 years of experience in payment operations, financial services, or a related role.
• Understanding of payment processing systems, banking, and financial transactions.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets.
