As a Buyers Administration Assistant, your main role is to provide support to the buying team in all areas of administration including critical path and sample management within Pretty Little Thing. You will assist managing the flow of products across the department, as well as communicating directly with suppliers to ensure delivery times are met. You will be integral to the day to day running of the buying team through high levels of organisation and a great work ethic.

For this role you must be available for an Assessment Centre on Thursday 18th July if successful.

This role is for vacancies starting in Summer and Autumn 2024.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing daily administration support to the Buying team in all department areas
  • Supporting your Assistant Buyer with the management of the critical path; overseeing intake and ensuring everything is up to date
  • Manging the current season samples, making sure they are managed through the studio and all production samples are approved
  • Checking your own categories on site daily to ensure no spelling mistakes and that descriptions are accurate
  • Attending and contributing in fits sessions, ensuring all samples are in the correct order and coded.
  • Carries out weekly comp shop packs to highlight competitors pricing, shape or colour messages and suggests actions
  • Understands department sales and best and worst and have a general understanding of company sales and priorities for the week ahead

More about you

  • You've studied a fashion related qualification, and this is your passion
  • Excellent administration skills and previous experience working with Microsoft office packages inc. Excel
  • Able to prioritise multiple deadlines and manage time effectively
  • Strong communication skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
  • You're a relationship builder and find communication easy
  • Excellent knowledge of trends and current influencers and find inspiration everywhere
  • A team player - someone who enjoys going above and beyond to support others in the team

What happens next

As part of the interview process, you will complete a video interview where you will be asked five questions based on your experiences and understanding of the Buying Administration Assistant role.

Once you pass this part of the application process, you will be invited into our office to meet members of your future team. This will give you the chance to see the office environment and have a one-to-one interview with the Buyers in person.
