Investoo Group is looking for an astute Sub-Editor to join our rapidly expanding news team. We are a prominent international brand specializing in investing, cryptocurrencies, stocks, and trading. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with highly skilled professionals and passionate industry experts while contributing to our ongoing success.

Role

The Editorial Team is actively seeking a charismatic and proficient Sub-Editor to edit, rewrite, and publish news items related to the economy, financial markets, cryptocurrency, and more. In this role, you will also be expected to make sure our reporters’ news articles are perfect before release, curate and rewrite news reports, and use AI tools to support the production of fast-paced news articles for our website in line with the SEO requirements.

You will be integral to our news desk operations, working closely with our Lead News Editor to deliver breaking stories swiftly to our audience through engaging and informative articles. As the protective layer to publishing, no mistake should ever get past you—no spelling errors, grammatical mistakes, or formatting inaccuracies.

Key accountabilities

• Edit, rewrite, format, and publish news articles written by our reporters.
• Write quick news reports with the help of AI tools on trending news.
• Collaborate with the Lead News Editor to brainstorm and pitch compelling story ideas.
• Ensure accuracy, quality, design, and adherence to editorial guidelines in all content produced by reporters.
• Meet tight deadlines and adapt to the fast-paced nature of digital news publication.
• Report and communicate on the performance of KPIs

Requirements

• 2+ years experience in a similar role
• Exceptional English writing and editing skills.
• Keen attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Familiarity with SEO principles and digital publishing platforms.
• Thorough understanding of AI tools for producing fast-paced news content.
• Proficiency in using WordPress for self-publishing is required.
• Ability to research, plan, structure, execute, and fact-check your work to a perfect level
