Market Intelligence International Sector Analyst

On our proprietary research team—Market Intelligence—you’ll partner with our Investment Professionals and Compliance team to uncover insights about companies, industries, and the broader economy through deep fundamental research and applying data science and engineering techniques to alternative data sets. You’ll work alongside a talented team with diverse skills, backgrounds, and perspectives. Specifically, you will provide industry context and business fundamentals to our team of data scientists and engineers and deliver synthesized insights to our investment professionals as you partner with them on their research needs. The work is ever evolving, affording opportunities to tackle new challenges alongside research teammates from diverse backgrounds. You will gain exposure and knowledge to developing subject-matter expertise on the key themes and KPIs that drive the industries and companies in your coverage, composing research reports that synthesize research findings, interacting directly with investment professionals to learn the discretionary investment process from them, collaborating with proprietary research teams to source and extract value out of data assets, staying current on industry trends impacting businesses around the world, gaining deep expertise in industries, business models, and supply chains, synthesizing clear takeaways from complex information derived from both qualitative and quantitative methods, understanding the use of alternative data market and its role in discretionary investing, multitasking and switching gears frequently, taking an experiment-based research approach with freedom to innovate, and working as part of a cross-functional team made up of Investment, Research, and Compliance professionals.

• An understanding of, or passion for, navigating equity markets
• 2-6 years of equity/investment research experience, or 0-5 years of experience leveraging data analysis as part of fundamental research process for business, public policy, finance, engineering, applied sciences, or other quantitative fields
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and project management skills.
• Elevated business intuition and an innate ability to structure ambiguous problems and take action to solve them.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Adherence to the highest ethical standards working closely with the firm’s Compliance team
• Proficiency with technical coding/programming (SQL, Python)
