firsthand supports individuals living with SMI (serious mental illness). Our holistic approach includes a team of peer recovery specialists, benefits specialists and clinicians, which focuses on meeting each individual where they are and walking with them side by side as a trusted guide, partner, and first call on their journey to wellness.

firsthand's team members use their lived experience to build trust with these individuals and support them in obtaining socio-economic assistance and in reconnecting to primary and behavioral care. • Coordinate requests for additional data from payors, involving the necessary personnel to clarify requirements as needed
  • Provide a clear and structured approach to track and communicate the progress of data implementation with payors
  • Offer comprehensive visibility into our claims ingestion process for our business stakeholders and consumers, ensuring they are informed and engaged throughout the data journey
  • Develop and define stringent data specifications and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to manage our payor data processes effectively, from the initial data pipeline setup to the integration of normalized and tested payor data into our Snowflake warehouse

You will be a good fit for this role if you have:

  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written, with demonstrated experience in facilitating communication between technical and non-technical users
  • Strong organization and documentation skills, with demonstrated experience in creating well-documented and adhered-to processes
  • Basic knowledge of SQL, DDL and DML

The required experience you bring to this role includes:

  • 3+ years of experience in Project Management / Implementation
  • 3+ years of experience working with healthcare payors on data integration / data implementation projects
  • 3+ years of experience working with payor insurance products, ideally from the perspective of “understanding the patient population within a given insurance product”
  • Experience developing within a Business Intelligence Platform like Looker, Tableau or Power BI (extra points for using Quicksight)
  • Experience working at a Value-Based Care company
  • Experience working at health-tech startups
