Front-End Developer

Are you a passionate Front-End Developer who lives and breathes all things digital? You'll enhance our creative output across an exciting client portfolio, seamlessly switching between concept development and code implementation to bring ideas to life and deliver effective UI experiences. You'll also translate UI/UX wireframes into visual elements, working closely with designers and backend developers to ensure an excellent user experience.

As a Front-End Developer:

• Ideate creative digital solutions to solve brand problems or unlock brand experience opportunities.
• Work collaboratively with the strategy, social and creative teams to develop the digital experience ideas and solutions that become part of the bigger attitude or behavior change we’re leading.
• Use your technical digital experience to bring to the team innovative solutions.
• Deliver to high standards that meet technical requirements, best practice, process, set timeline and budget, and grow capabilities of our technical offering.
• Identify and develop innovative product and technology solutions, including development of demos to present and sell solutions internally and to existing and new clients.
• Showcase strong codebase knowledge, primarily front-end; support with back and front-end development tasks as and when required and identify new talent and staff required to deliver digital solutions.
• Demonstrate the ability to move quickly from support and maintenance one morning, to solutions architecture thinking in the afternoon and are willing to get stuck in.
• Demonstrate valuable input and thought leadership when working together and assisting creative and cross-departmental teams.
• Optimize website performance and user experience across various devices and platforms.
• Test and debug user interfaces to ensure they are bug-free and meet user and business needs.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest front-end development trends, technologies and best practices in web design.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a commercial web development, web applications/software development, marketing/CRM & CMS or, digital agency environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and analytical capabilities.
• Strong front-end capabilities include CSS (including css3), HTML and JavaScript. Understanding of responsive web design principles and the ability to implement them across various devices and platforms.
• Experience with front-end development frameworks and libraries such as jQuery, React, Angular, Vue, Bootstraps, Tailwind. Web development tools such as Visual Studio Code, Figma, Docker, Postman, etc.
• Back-end capabilities including an understanding of PHP CMS (e.g. Drupal/WordPress), PHP frameworks such as CodeIgniter, Laravel or similar and MySQL and database design, as well as utilization.
• Understanding of various external integrations such as Google Maps, Campaign Monitor (or similar email marketing platforms), Google Analytics, Salesforce, etc.
• Experience and knowledge of web security, web services, application and data integration, and web and data standards.
• Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• The interest in exploring artificial intelligence (AI) and experience in using AI to make work efficient and productive.
• Potential to demonstrate leadership capabilities.
