Job Description:

There is an exciting opportunity to join the site R&D team as the Packaging Development Specialist. The purpose of this role is to ensure development and definition of all packaging materials in accordance with Global and local necessities ensuring Packaging Quality Management.

What are we looking for?

• University Degree in Industrial Design, Chemical/Food Engineering or similar.
• 3+ years of experience in packaging in the food industry or R&D functions.
• Understanding of polymers, metal performance and attributes with food interaction. (Films, Preformed, Stand up pouch, Cans etc).
• Knowledge in pack material supplier production process (extrusion, co extrusion, injection, printing, lamination, carton/paper lamination processes) and in pack material supplier production process for Primary, Secondary, Tertiary and/or palletization.
• Knowledge in SAP, BOM's Code Management and Specifications systems usage.
• Knowledge on artwork drawings understanding of keyline drawings.

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Responsible to support decision making related to for every Breakthrough (Innovation and Core Renewals) Value and Sustainability initiatives, technology implementation and continuous improvement. Therefore he/she needs to be linked to local teams to be part of the decision-making process assuring its benefits.
• Key contact with R&D Global teams, Project Management and Marketing team to design, develop and enable breakthrough innovations and core renovations according to Mars Best Practices.
• Develop and provide specifications for all primary/secondary/tertiary and Palletization pack materials, ensuring PQM standard, Artwork approval, as well as relevant metrics for its performance and its technology implementation guaranteeing the integrity of our products. Ensure process is consistent and coordinated with existing policies; define what is needed in specific policies and coordinate with Policy Owner(s).
• Warrants the support and follow up of all primary/secondary pack material, logistics and technology for every Breakthrough (Innovation and Core Renewals) Value and Sustainability initiatives. Process Performance & Delivery.
