Sr. Manager

Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. Manager (multiple openings) in Austin, TX to:

• Set the vision and strategy for the application development team, ensuring that solutions are flexible, performant, resilient, and provide customers with the best possible experience.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Technology and Management to manage portfolios and programs of large and medium size.
• Manage complex client-vendor relationships and deliver global solutions on time and within budget by building and leading top-performing teams.
• Analyze and translate business requirements to technical requirements and architecture and work with cross functional teams.
• Design, code, unit test, document, and implement new solutions and existing programs.
• Contribute to enhancements and changes to existing B2B applications codebase.
• Develop code that complies with design specifications and meets security and Java/J2EE big data systems with best practices.
• Collaborate with Development and QA staff on individual and team deliverables.
• Create documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
• Identify opportunities for future enhancements and refinements to standards, best practices, and development methodologies.
• Participate in design and code review sessions as appropriate to ensure the quality of work delivered by self and teammates are in accordance with development standards.
• Interact with business units to define requirements/modifications.
• Position reports to the Employer’s Austin, Texas office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 8 years of experience in the job offered or in computer-related occupation.
• Java/J2EE including Spring framework and Hibernate.
• REST and JSON.
• React, Node, or JavaScript.
• Shell Scripting, UNIX, or LINUX.
• RDBMS, My SQL, Oracle, Postgres, MS SQL SERVER, and AZURE.
• Continuous Integration and Automated Test technologies: Jenkins, Maven, Git, Artifactory or Docker.
• Developing large scale, enterprise class distributed system or subsystems that require high availability, low-latency, and strong data consistency computing.
