About the Role

This position is for Global Operations Head , Reporting directly into SBU Head, with overall responsibility and accountability for the Engineering and Business Operations function of Automotive Engineering Services

Your Team

You, as Director Business Operations, will have 3-4 people directly reporting into you for managing day to day operational activities and supporting business growth by collaborating with all functions – Sales, Finance, TA, Business and Delivery

Manager, Business Operations – Job Description

  • Support SBU- day-to-day Business and Engineering Operations at peak efficiency, developing and executing the “rhythm” for SBU operations.
  • Accountable for executing and tracking Resource Management process using PMA system adapted by Harman.
  • Tracking changes to project staffing needs and internal fulfilment of these demand gaps.
  • Ensure high efficiency utilization of resources by managing bench. Tracking and mapping their fitment to open positions with SBU and even outside SBU.
  • and ensuring accuracy in the data and the reporting.
  • Coordinating reviews for hiring requests in the region to ensure alignment to latest program business case and change requests and internal fulfilment.
  • Develop Operation Review material along with various functional owners, ensuring single source of data is used in a consistent way.
  • Ensuring up to date dashboards for various operational and engineering matrices.
  • Driving achievement of SBU targets in terms of Schedule, Budget, Cost, and Transformational Goals.
  • Work with Finance, Business and Delivery teams for account profitability and effort as per approved PnC
  • Interfaces with supporting functions (Finance, Business, HR) and provides reporting data for making key decisions.
  • Presents performance reports and metrics to the SBU and Divisional leadership as needed.
  • Own operational process and ensure execution by Business and Engineering on day-to-day basis.
  • Regular sync-ups, present data efficiently using various dashboards, with business stakeholders to help them take decisions and actions for profitable business and growth.
  • Ensuring resource attributes with respect to SBU, Portfolio, accounts, company code, supervisory organization etc are in sync across Systems – global system and PMA tools used for resource management
  • Ensure alignment with Global guidelines and transformational goals at Automotive level – FoE, Culture and Transformation Goals
  • Represent AES SBU in various cadence calls across Automotive Division

What You Need

  • 20+ years of experience with 10 in leading multisite business units for Operations
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or engineering
  • Experience in Business and Sales Operation of Software services industry
  • Knowledge of key process of resources management and cost control
  • Excellent and hands on experience on using PMA tools and Dashboard tools (Qlik sense)
  • Sales Operations experience
  • Expert in data analytics and representation (usage of excel tools)
  • Good experience in creating presentations related to Operations data – resources (current, projections, hiring attrition, pyramid etc), Cost ( Project to SBU level cost, margin, resource cost, budget Vs actuals, overrun etc) and Utilization (optimal usage of resources across projects, bench management, billability etc).
  • Excellent organizational and cross functional skills
  • In-depth understanding of all the supporting business functions and principles.
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills to have effective communication at all levels in the organization.
