Visaโs Corporate IT (CIT) organization is adding a ServiceNow Developer role in Bangalore to its People Technology team, focused on People Technology solutions.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing innovative solutions on the ServiceNow platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Your primary responsibility will be to utilize your expertise in front-end portal and mobile development to enhance the user experience and drive efficiency within our ServiceNow ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement front-end portal and mobile applications on the ServiceNow platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and design documentation.
- Develop and optimize user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, etc.).
- Implement responsive designs that are compatible with various devices and screen sizes.
- Integrate ServiceNow applications with external systems and APIs.
- Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to junior team members.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to front-end development.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to ServiceNow development.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 4 years of experience in ServiceNow development, with a focus on front-end portal and mobile development.

Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related frameworks (Angular, React, etc.).

Extensive knowledge of ServiceNow development best practices and coding standards.

Experience with ServiceNow Service Portal and Mobile App Development Framework (MADF).

Proven track record of designing and implementing user-friendly and visually appealing front-end interfaces.

Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration of external systems with ServiceNow.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.
- Experience with other programming languages commonly used in ServiceNow development (Java, Jelly, etc.).
- 3+ years ServiceNow advanced portal development, HRSD Module (Life Cycle Events, Case and Knowledge management) experience REQUIRED.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
