POSITION OVERVIEW

The solution analyst (SA) acts as the liaison between the business departments and the IT department. The SA provides input on business cases in support of projects, contributes to and facilitates business process (re-)modelling. Participates or coordinates business process change projects with emphasis on the IT activities. The SA acts as a consultant and reviews documents within business project teams.

The SA is part of a global IT team responsible for providing IT solutions for business demands. This includes ERP changes, upgrades and implementation projects for Hyva colleagues and companies around the world.

The SA Supply Chain role focuses on the Supply Chain business processes.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Translate business requirements into IT application solutions, functionally. Initiate, analyse and design changes, extensions and improvements for the functionality of the ERP systems and other business applications. Main focus will be on supply chain processes, but other business processes like finance, manufacturing, HR, E-commerce, Sales, can also require attention.
  • Be the point of contact for (global) business process owners to the IT organisation.
  • Open and maintain lines of communication to proactively monitor and improve supply chain business processes and business departments satisfaction with IT. This includes processes in functional areas such as Procurement, Sales, Services, Warehousing, Planning, Transportation, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Freight and Master Data.
  • Responsible for the functional configuration design of ERP systems and other business applications, related to implementation and improvement projects.
  • Participate in business process design sessions, acting as a documentarian, facilitator or subject matter expert, including designing KPIs to measure business process efficiency and business compliancy.
  • Participate in root cause analysis to recommend product enhancements or other appropriate actions to improve productivity and suggest improvements for both the business units and IT.
  • Conduct interviews, to assist on business cases for business projects or create business cases for IT projects. Conduct preliminary investigation (IT assessment) for project requests: Review, get and clarify requirements, estimate required resources.
  • Make specifications, design and test configuration settings, test solutions, make & participate in training plans to ensure they are in line with business objectives.
  • Follow and participate in the change management policy by documenting and explaining requested changes, and to review other requested changes.
  • Project coordination: Make project plan for IT, coordinate activities on defined IT deliverables of business projects, report to management. Coordinate implementations with all relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Design interfaces between applications.
  • 2nd line user support activities.
  • Write and update documentation for support colleagues, for end user work instructions.
  • Report activities, progress on changes and projects to management.
  • Collaborate with the IT technical colleagues from the Application team to translate the functional design into a technical working solution. Collaborate with other IT subdepartments e.g. Infrastructure and BI/data for changes and projects.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Educational Level: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Professional Experience:
    • 2+ years of relevant experience with Supply Chain, Logistics and/or Manufacturing Business Operations or Systems.
    • Hands-on knowledge and experience with a major ERP solution (preferably InforLN).
    • Project experience/project management methodology knowledge (PRINCE2).
    • Certification in technologies / applications is a plus.
  • Language: Verbal and Written English.
