Treasury Analyst - Bank Fees Monitoring and Optimization

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Specialist to join our Global Treasury Business Strategy Team.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical skills, coupled with advanced proficiency in PowerBI and Excel, to drive our fee management and optimization initiatives. This pivotal role necessitates a keen eye for detail and the ability to engage strategically with top-tier global banks to resolve discrepancies, ensuring financial accuracy and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

Comprehensive Bank Fee Management:

  • It is essential that the candidate become an expert in understanding the Bank Fees charged to HP and to gain the ability to understand and read monthly Bank Fee statements (EDI, TWIST BSB, CAMT etc.) and Hawkeye BSB/RedBridge reports.
  • Validate every service, price, volume, charge and rate to an established baseline.
  • Execute vigilant and comprehensive monitoring, audit and optimize bank fees structures across a diverse portfolio of global bank accounts.
  • Engage proactively with international banking institutions to resolve complex discrepancies and negotiate advantageous fee structures.
  • Ensure the precision and timeliness of financial reporting, upholding the highest standards of classifications, accuracy and integrity.
  • Perform Quality Control Assessment by identifying and rectify gaps in the posting or reconciliation processes, implementing robust corrective measures.
  • Collaborate with the wider teams to identify opportunities for billing or pricing improvements, recommend best practices, and ensure data governance is upheld. Serve as the primary authority on bank fee processes, providing expert oversight and direction for all global accounts.

Management of Redbridge Tool and Reporting:

  • Oversee the expert management of the Hawkeye BSB/Redbridge tool, ensuring the highest levels of data accuracy and system integrity.
  • Understanding of query functions and reports to present findings
  • Ability to identify parsing and data errors for data accuracy.
  • Good understanding of database tables, fields, relationships, constraints, views, and query code
  • Conduct meticulous reconciliation of data between the Redbridge tool and General Ledger (GL) as part of an ongoing process.
  • Develop and sustain comprehensive, insightful reports using the Redbridge tool to track bank fees and performance metrics.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between Redbridge data and GL data, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
  • Continuously enhance the reconciliation process, driving improvements to maintain consistency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience in a finance role with a focus on bank fee management, reconciliation, and financial optimization.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Business Intelligence tools like SQL, PowerBI and Excel.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Bank Fee Managing, AFP Codes, Global Service Codes and utilizing the Hawkeye BSB/Redbridge tool for advanced reporting and analysis is highly preferred.

Required Competencies:

  • Superior communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to engage effectively with both banks and internal stakeholders.
  • Highly detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and completeness in financial reporting.
  • Proven track record of identifying and implementing process improvements in financial management.
  • Ability to work independently.
