The Role

Reporting to the Senior Director IT, the Director, IT Infrastructure & Cybersecurity will provide strategic leadership to deliver infrastructure, helpdesk and cybersecurity service and initiatives that align with the overall IT strategy and that are in support of Third Harmonic's rapid growth. The individual will partner closely with the business, external vendors and IT leadership to ensure technology solutions are aligned with business requirements and ensure the stability, scalability and availability of IT infrastructure and services. The successful candidate will have deep infrastructure and IT services management experience, as well as a strong understanding of cybersecurity and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements. The candidate should also have experience with the compliance requirements that are expected of a public clinical-stage drug development company.

As the work environment is dynamic and matrixed, and the organization relatively small but growing, the candidate should be highly self-motivated, and be a self-starter who understands and knows how to execute on deliverables themself when required. The ability to work independently and maintain relationships with both business stakeholders and technology counterparts will be critical to the success of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead IT Helpdesk, infrastructure and cybersecurity projects that optimize the technology environment and improve employee productivity
  • Manage the Helpdesk to ensure a high level of employee satisfaction and to ensure that KPI targets are met or exceeded
  • Manage strategic vendor relationships critical to the role
  • Review, develop and enhance existing IT and cybersecurity policies and procedures
  • Manage and deliver SOX audits by working closely with our Internal Audit partner
  • Partner with business leaders and IT leadership to develop roadmaps for IT infrastructure and cybersecurity
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement to improve quality, efficiency, standards and security across the technology environment
  • Ensure corporate infrastructure and services are secure, scalable, flexible, and compliant
  • Implement, manage and support a future laboratory space
  • Facilitate the evaluation / recommendation of new technologies or capabilities that can be applied across the business
  • This is a hybrid position at the Cambridge, MA office (3 days onsite, 2 days remote).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent field such as Electrical Engineering.
  • 7-10 years of relevant IT experience
  • At least 1 year in an IT leadership role (Director and above) and 5 or more years in IT management role
  • Occasional travel to the San Francisco office is required but can be planned appropriately
  • Soft skills:
    • A self-starter, "can do" attitude is a must
    • An ability to work both strategically and tactically is required
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and business partnering skills
    • Excellent organization, planning, and project management skills
    • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills – verbal and written are required
    • Ability to operate in a cross-functional and matrix environment

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with the following technologies: M365, Azure AD, Zoom, Okta, Cisco Meraki, Cloud (Azure, AWS)
  • Experience working with the following security tools, or similar tools: Okta, Intune/Addigy, SentinelOne, Abnormal/Mimecast
  • Experience implementing and/or supporting laboratories a must
  • Familiarity with security frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO27001, GDPR, HIPAA)
  • Broad IT management experience, with emphasis on Life Sciences-related systems delivery required
  • Experience with the use of SDLC methodologies in project delivery required
  • Understanding of GxP controls, experience in an FDA-regulated environment is required
  • Ability to work directly with business partners and end users to generate consensus around technical direction

The base salary range for this role is: $195,000-$220,000
