The opportunity

Having recently launched a new platform to capitalise on our growth, and a number of new material market opportunities that have been secured, we are now looking to expand our Product team with a talented Senior Proposition Manager that can help to continue our mission to be the payment partner of choice for the legal industry.

With strong support from the Chief Product Officer, and other leaders across the business, this is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping the growth of our propositions, it is also an opportunity to be at the forefront of shaping the future of how the legal sector operate their payments services.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for owning and growing the portfolio of propositions and driving their continued commercial success along with identifying new proposition opportunities that align with Shieldpay’s strategic goals. Your work will be instrumental in defining successful propositions, having a clear roadmap to drive continued success and understanding the customer needs both today and in the mid-term.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead the definition and growth strategy of the portfolio of product Propositions to meet market demands and align with company objectives.
  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape, use these insights to define compelling Propositions that secure new business revenue, drive customer retention and grow Customer Life Time Value.
  • For each Proposition, define and communicate the Proposition strategy and roadmap that ensure continued success of each proposition.
  • Work with Shieldpay’s Strategy and Sales team to identify new Proposition growth opportunities, defining customer needs, and then mapping them to existing and new product capabilities by working closely with Product Managers.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, UX/Design and Engineering leads to help inform their product Roadmaps and articulate product needs. In parallel, understand the product roadmaps and be able to articulate the customer value of each new product release, ensuring new value messaging is incorporated into sales and marketing collateral.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of product Propositions using key metrics, working closely with the Sales, Marketing and Product team to identify enhancements to drive customer satisfaction, adoption, and retention.
  • Be the custodian of the end-to-end customer experience for each Proposition, from initial marketing messaging and/or sales meeting through to customer support and beyond, identifying ways to optimise the customer experience to increase NPS and meet commercial goals.
  • Collaborate across teams including Strategy, Sales, Finance, Legal, Product, Technology and Operations to drive success for your Propositions.
  • Work with Sales and Marketing to help inform campaign plans that drive success for Shieldpay and its propositions, including developing messaging, positioning, and promotional strategies for product launches and refinement of sales enablement tools.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to our customers and clients and be the go-to person for knowledge about our Propositions and Products and how they meet customer’s needs.
  • Develop and present business cases for new product propositions, including financial projections, ROI analysis, and risk assessments.
  • Offer insight into the design and implementation of effective commercial strategies,including pricing frameworks and go-to-market plans.

What we're looking for in you

  • Proven experience (5 years +) in commercial product management and/or proposition development within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in a client facing product role.
  • Experience of the Legal sector and knowledge of the Payments industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies.
  • Proven tools and techniques to define and grow propositions along with proven ability to define and measure appropriate metrics.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer facing ‘consultative’ skills to identify new opportunities and articulate how our propositions solve their business needs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams and departments.
  • Self-starting and entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable with ambiguity and rapid
    change.
