Senior Salesforce Developer

Come to work each day with an inclusive and collaborative business technology team. As a Senior Salesforce Developer within the Abbvie Business Technology Solutions (BTS), you’ll support the Sales Enablement for US Commercial.

In this role you’ll be responsible for:

• Working with Salesforce teams and being key to end-to-end solution delivery.
• Understand requirements and provide one or more solutions using Salesforce best practices.
• Guide technical teams, managing junior developers, and providing technical guidance to deliver flexible and scalable solutions that meet overall business requirements.
• Translate functional requirements into technical requirements.
• Design and build high-performance, reusable, and reliable Apex code with best practices.
• Working with business and technology stakeholders to develop delivery roadmaps, plans with dependencies and then execute the plans for release.
• Monitoring risks & devising mitigation plans.
• Check in and deploy code and configurations; participate in release management.
• Participate in and contribute to code reviews.
• Plan, design, and enhance automation framework, utilities and tools.
• Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, including code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, data security, and the software development lifecycle.
• Keeps executive leadership, peers and staff informed through effective verbal and written communication.
• Recognized and sought out as an expert in his/her discipline within the company and possibly externally.

Tools and skills you will use in this role:

• Apex, Flow, & LWC development experience.
• Experience in designing custom objects, custom fields, picklists, page layouts, workflow, approval processes, validation rules, custom tabs, reports, Visualforce pages, dashboards, and email generation according to application requirements.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to give optimal solutions.
• JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, VSCode, & other Salesforce Development tools.
• Strong practical deployment knowledge of Salesforce configurations, Apex classes, Apex Web services, and APIs.
• Knowledgeable of emerging trends and may contribute to and influence best practices within discipline.
• Analyze new requests and define non-functional requirements and create solution design and architecture.
• Expertise in designing and developing Integration Solutions with Web Services, REST & SOAP APIs.

Requirements

Experiences that make you a strong candidate for this role:

Required

• Bachelor's Degree with +7 years experience; Master's Degree with +6 years experience; PhD with +2 years experience.
• 3+ years of application program development experience and 3+ years of Salesforce Sales or Service cloud application development experience.
• Skilled at customizing & developing Salesforce applications using APEX classes, Visualforce, Force.com APIs, Process Builder, Triggers, Templates and Web Services.
• Certified Salesforce Platform Developer I/II or Salesforce Application Architect..
• Experience with master data management.

Beneficial

• Experience working with DevOps toolchain and has experience managing B2B or B2C sales cloud application releases.
• Work experience in the Pharmaceutical or Medical industry is preferred.
• Platform Developer I, Platform Developer II, & Data Architect are desired Salesforce certifications.
