ROLE SUMMARY

The Strategic Healthcare Partner (SHP) takes a holistic view of partnership with the prioritized healthcare institutions / systems to collaborate on initiatives that will meet the healthcare needs of the patients served by the institutions / systems and enable the availability of Pfizer medicines through commercial discussions/agreements. The SHP’s mindset is driven by customer-centricity and collaboration

The SHP should be proficient at planning and executing an effective relationship strategy and building/ maintaining effective, long-term business relationships at the senior executive level with key decision makers and influencers within each key account.

The SHP identifies and prioritises Pfizer opportunities through understanding customers’ business and strategic imperatives. The SHP is responsible for developing and executing an effective key account plan for each identified key account.

The SHP is responsible for leading an integrated account team approach.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Healthcare Institutions/systems engagement

  • Identify key Customers, incl. decision making / influencing network. Understand Key institutions' needs, challenges and priorities
  • Leads the long-term, consultative, senior executive institution / system relationship to become the trusted business advisor.
  • Demonstrates expertise in relationship skills, creatively delivers innovation and thought leadership, and represents the full spectrum of Pfizer value.

Leadership

  • Take a short/mid/long-term view of Pfizer’s business, aligning across Pfizer BU.
  • Ensure customer support by engaging with customers through both in-person and virtual interactions
  • Responsible for identifying areas of joint interest that support a legitimate unmet patient need
  • By partnering with needed Pfizer cross-functional teams, the Sr.SHP leads the development of a strategic and holistic plan for the institution and the co-creation of innovative solutions to meet the key institutions’ healthcare priorities in those areas of joint interest supporting a legitimate unmet patient need
  • If appropriate, the SHP brings the right SMEs and other Pfizer capabilities in order to address customer’s needs
  • Support the procurement process/availability of medicines per existing commercial agreements

Account Management:

  • Analyses and understands the local environment, key account business, and aligned Pfizer priorities to create Key Account Plans, execute value propositions of mutual benefit including business to business partnership and evolves Key Account Plans as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business or Science or a healthcare background (e.g. pharmacist, nurse) with solid knowledge of the industry.
  • Management and/or marketing experience strongly recommende
  • At least 3 years of pharmaceutical, biotech or medical/marketing/sales management experience with focus on customer centric behaviour or account management and demonstrated leadership.
  • Able to be company representative with and be single point of contact for key account senior management team
