An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Qualified or Trainee Dental Nurse to join our General Dental Practice Freeman & Rosser Dental & Implant Clinic, in Carmarthen.

We are offering 40.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a 7pm finish each Monday.

Freeman & Rosser Dental & Implant Clinic is situated in a beautiful (dentistry competitive) Welsh market town, Carmarthen. The practice has a high reputation amongst the community due to the outstanding team of leading dental clinicians and colleagues, who have been providing high quality patient care in Carmarthenshire for over 35 years. Freeman & Rosser Dental & Implant Clinic is a 4 surgery Private only Practice, providing General Dental and Implant services.

Job description:

  • Understand the vision and brand message for the practice, and deliver outstanding customer service experiences
  • Providing the highest standard of clinical support to our dentists and hygienists
  • Perform top quality dental nursing in all procedures in a safe and effective manner
  • Prepare equipment, materials, lab work and patients with efficiency and empathy
  • Provide outstanding customer service at all times
  • Any other ad hoc responsibilities as reasonably requested

  • 40.75 hours per week over 5 days (Typical shifts – Mondays 8.15am to 7pm,Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 8.15am to 5pm)
  • Training supported by our highly experienced team - your course will be overseen by an external course provider and is fully funded

About you

We welcome your application to our Trainee Dental Nurse vacancy if you have the following skills and qualifications:

  • GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or above are essential to undertake the course
  • Enjoy working as part of a team, and are a good communicator who thrives upon delivering excellent standards of patient care
  • Happy to be a key player in the team providing chair-side assistance, ensuring that the correct materials and equipment are available during each clinical session
  • Comfortable learning to perform high quality dental nursing whilst assisting each dentist, hygienist or therapist in all procedures

What we need from you

  • Provide chair side assistance to our clinicians
  • Proficient user of the requisite dental software and Microsoft package
  • Maintain patient confidentiality
  • Handle all substances in accordance with Health & Safety & Cross Infection Policies
  • Vaccinated against Hepatitis B (we will arrange this for a Trainee)
