Aviation Safety Specialist

Key Role:

Lead or support aviation projects covering analysis, planning, design, development, deployment, operations, and evaluation to improve transportation safety, mobility, and the environment. Apply specific functional knowledge, including working and general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance. Review or guide activities of more junior employees.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience working in an aviation safety role
• Experience with emergency response preparedness and procedures
• Experience with safety training, including managing safety programs
• Experience with preparing and presenting briefings and presentations to in person and remote audiences
• Ability to connect with stakeholders and to positively influence a safety culture
• Ability to conduct safety audits
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Aviation Management, or Safety
