ICEYE is building and operating its commercial constellation of small Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites with SAR data available to customers. Our satellites acquire images of Earth at any time – even when it’s cloudy or dark – providing commercial and government partners with unmatched persistent monitoring capabilities. Information derived from our SAR images helps customers make data-driven decisions to address time-critical challenges in various sectors, such as maritime, disaster management, insurance, and finance.

Who you are:

The IT Service and Operations Director will be responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, execution, and management of IT service delivery, network operations, and IT operations. This role requires an experienced leader with a proven track record in IT service management, infrastructure management, and IT operational excellence. The ideal candidate will ensure that our IT services and operations align with business goals, maintain high levels of customer satisfaction, aligns with our security team and ensure continual improvement of our IT portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and implement the IT service and operations strategy in alignment with the company’s objectives.
    • Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement to ensure a high quality customer experience
    • Collaborate with senior management to identify and address business needs through effective IT solutions.
    • Align appropriate tools, processes and resources to meet business needs
  • IT Service Delivery:
    • Oversee the delivery of high-quality IT services to the business
    • Define and meet appropriate service level agreements (SLAs) and performance metrics.
    • Implement ITIL best practices and frameworks to enhance service delivery processes.
    • Strong focus on IT Portfolio management & Service improvement
    • Define and own robust change management processes
  • Network Operations:
    • Manage and optimise network infrastructure to ensure reliability, security, and scalability.
    • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of network systems and services.
    • Ensure proactive monitoring, incident management, and resolution of network issues.
  • IT Operations:
    • Direct the day-to-day operations of the ServiceDesk & IT Operations Team, including infrastructure, applications, and support services.
    • Contribute to robust IT operational processes, policies, and procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and security policies.
  • Project Management:
    • Lead and manage IT projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
    • Contribute to effective project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Budget and Resource Management:
    • Support the CIO to develop and maintain the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
    • Optimize resource allocation and workforce planning to meet operational demands.
    • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements with .
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their needs, refine the requirements and provide appropriate IT solutions.
    • Ensure transparency and regular updates on IT service and operations performance.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in an IT management role.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a complex, international IT environment
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL framework and best practices
  • Technical knowledge in network infrastructure, systems management, and IT operations.
  • Experience in IT vendor management, contract negotiation and budget management
  • Excellent project management skills, with experience in leading large-scale IT projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

  • Base salary range for this position is €8900-10,000 per month (gross) contingent on your experience level, and will be negotiated individually.
