About the role

Bluecurrent (formerly Vector Metering) is a leading provider of innovative smart metering services and solutions in New Zealand and Australia. As a B2B company, we partner with leading energy retailers and distributors in New Zealand and Australia.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Owner to join the dynamic team. As Product Owner, you will work within our Products Team to define the vision and objectives of a product based on our customer needs. This role will require close collaboration with Product Managers and stakeholders across the various teams to ensure that we deliver excellence for our customers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing product feature roadmaps with a focus on delivering business value.
• Driving innovation and continuous improvement by leading and prioritising a Product Backlog to develop and improve product capabilities.
• Delivering product initiatives outlined in Bluecurrent’s product development road map alongside our Digital team and representing the voice of the customer in those engagements.
• Collaborating with stakeholders across the various Metering/ Digital Teams.

Who we are looking for

To be successful in this role, you will bring proven product owner experience and a combination of business and technical acumen. You will be organised and bring a problem solving and continuous improvement mindset with a strong focus on the customer. Your communication and influencing skills will be excellent with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, with all stakeholders.

You will also ideally bring;

• a Bachelor degree in Science, IT or related field.
• domain knowledge of the Electricity and Gas Metering Industry, regulatory market, field services, asset management, supply chain management and related products and services.
• subject matter expertise in enabling business operations through digital technology including Salesforce/CRM, ERP, Workflow Management, Billing and Customer Communication Channels.
• end to end knowledge of the metering workflow from request for meter service to retailer billing
• experience working in Waterfall and Agile environments with knowledge of Agile processes and practices. Agile Product Owner or Scrum Master experience is highly desirable.
