Position Summary

Develops and manages compliance programs, policies, reporting, and practices for the organization. Ensures activities follow regulatory requirements related to company governance and industry- and location-specific laws.

Major Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Manages affirmative action planning, including ensuring compliance with state and federal non-discrimination laws and regulations.
  • Drafts, modifies, administers, and enforces company policies, including creating strategies for monitoring and preventing employment and labor law violations.
  • Assists with documenting and improving company sustainability ratings pertaining to labor and human rights assessments.
  • Designs and implements mandatory compliance training for employees.
  • Gathers internal information for regulatory and litigation discovery requests.
  • Provides guidance and leadership on compliance issues, such as advising on data protection and privacy matters, highlighting compliance opportunities, and contributing to robust compliance controls within the organization.
  • Identifies potential compliance issues for future company ventures.
  • Assists corporate counsel in the provision of in-house legal advice.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor degree and/or bachelor’s degree in law, finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in compliance management, including 2+ years working in employment and labor law compliance.
  • Prior experience implementing and managing affirmative action plans.
  • Solid understanding of risk and compliance principles and frameworks.
  • Compliance certification.
