Job Description

About the role:

In this role you will act as an Inhouse Consultant, engaging in project-related, independent work reporting directly to the Accounting Management team. You will be responsible for a variety of topics in the area of finance, as well as a strong focus on the annual audit.

**Job Responsibilities

• **Develop and Implement Finance Processes: Design, introduce, and enhance finance-related processes with a focus on automation and digitalization.

• **Manage Cross-Departmental Finance Projects: Lead and oversee finance projects across departments, define technical process requirements, monitor project progress, and coordinate closely with IT for implementations, such as new ERP solutions.

• **Provide Specialized Support: Offer expert assistance to Finance departments, particularly in Reporting, Group Accounting, Financial Solutions, and FP&A, including the preparation of dependent company reports as per Section 312 AktG.

• **Assist in General Ledger Accounting: Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and help organize internal and external audits.

• **Develop Accounting Policies: Aid in the creation and maintenance of accounting policies and guidelines, such as those for sales accruals and inventory evaluations.

• **Conduct Data Analysis: Perform data analyses and ensure high data quality.

• Prepare Management Reports : Compile and present decision-making documents for management.

• **Act as Technical Liaison: Serve as the technical contact for operational Accounting teams concerning finance-related processes.

• **Conduct Employee Training: Identify training needs and conduct training sessions for employees.

**Qualifications (Essential)

• University degree with focus on Finance and Accounting
• Several years of professional experience in accounting, ideally as a consultant at a renowned tax consultancy/auditing firm, or an established start-up/ big scale company
• Extensive and distinctive accounting knowledge according to HGB and IFRS
• Start-up and hands-on mentality, strong analytical skills, high IT affinity and the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with complex issues from an end-to-end perspective, as well as very good communication skills
• Experienced in project management as well as requirements and process management
• Independent and structured way of working as well as team player with reliable time management
• Experienced in the application of relevant ERP systems such as NAV, SAP
• Fluency in German and English, both written and spoke
• Experienced in the application of analysis tools and documentation software, such as Confluence, Jira, Adonis, Signavio, Power Pivot or SQL reporting is a plus.
