Job Purpose

Lead and deliver the technical strategy, architecture, and operations of the Meetings & Broadcast for GSK Tech. Manage the GSK platform engineering team, strategic suppliers, and vendor relationship to achieve our platform objectives. Ensure that the GSK platform is reliable, compliant and has an excellent user experience for both technical and business users.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy, Design, and Deploy: Accountable for the Meetings & Broadcast platform strategy, design, architecture and deploy of platform in addition to defining technical and customer driven roadmaps.
• Infrastructure & Operations: Accountable for infrastructure and global technical operations/support of the Meeting & Broadcast platform.
• Change & Release Management: Accountable for managing major change activity, including on-premise and cloud hosted service delivered change, into the production service and in a compliant and efficient manner.
• Quality, Risk & Compliance: Accountable for ensuring the Meetings & Broadcast platform supporting the business is compliant with internal security, risk management policies and practices, external regulatory and statutory requirements and that business continuity plans are in place.
• Business Acumen: Partner with leadership to define and deliver within budgets in addition to forecasting and managing the consumption of the Meetings & Broadcast service across GSK business tech groups.
• Team Management: Manage a core team of GSK Meetings & Broadcast experts and a team of external partners who will operate the Meetings & Broadcast platform.
• Stakeholder Management: Manage expectations and communications with GSK business stakeholders around the progress and status of platform delivery.
• Leadership: Engage the GSK Meetings & Broadcast community on a regular basis to contribute to thought leadership, industry knowledge, standards, and governance around the enterprise Meetings & Broadcast capability.

Qualifications:

• 18+ years of infrastructure engineering experience
• 10+ years running infrastructure and operations
• 8+ managing delivery of technical teams, support and suppliers
• 8+ years of Meeting & Broadcast specific experience – (Microsoft, Cisco, Zoom and other AV OEMS like Logi, Crestron, Biamp, Shure, Qumu, Polycom)
• Experience running systems with a deep understanding of security, network and record retention requirements.
• Experience running and managing on-premise and cloud hosted solutions
• Deep knowledge of industry best practice for delivering real-time media traffic optimization across complex enterprise, 3rd party and employees home networks
• Strong communication skills including the ability to collaborate with both technical and business colleagues, including use of key metrics
• Proven track record of tactical execution
• Experience working in a regulated environment (Healthcare, Financial Services, Biotech, etc.)
• Engineering experience on meeting platforms (Cisco, Polycom, Qumu, Microsoft etc.), live events and video on-demand
• Experience of AV Programming on Crestron, Biamp etc.
• Hands-on experience using Agile development methodologies (SAFe) and DevOps and CI/CD techniques
• Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) and ability to design automation or self-heal of repeat tasks.
• Experience to build strong and robust practice to monitor service and generate alerts / incidents accordingly.
• Experience managing distributed teams in multiple time zones that leverage vendors and full-time employees.
• Budgeting and forecasting, commercial and financial acumen
