The Payload and Ground Systems organization within the Northrop Grumman Space Systems pushes the boundaries of innovation, redefines engineering capabilities, and drives advances in various sciences. We have an opening for an experienced Staff Systems Engineer to lead a team of 10-15 Systems Engineers to own and update ICDs (Interface Control Documents) and ADDs (Algorithm Description Documents) and to support design reviews and verification of requirements for a Space RADAR Payload program.

This position is on-site in a program SCIF in Linthicum, MD.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered.
  • Bachelors in STEM with 14 years of relevant experience; or Masters in STEM with 12 years.
  • People Leadership including planning and execution, staffing, setting expectations, tasking, and measuring and reporting progress.
  • Requirements Management

Preferred Skills:

  • Space systems experience
  • Sensor/payload experience
  • Electronically Scanned Array (ESA) Antennas experience
  • RADAR experience Salary Range: $157,500.00 - $236,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
